In over half a century Calverhall has developed a Crown Bowling Green that ranks as one of the best in North Shropshire. Located at the heart of the village, next to the Village Hall and Church, the Club has a season that runs from March to late September.
With nearly 70 local members, we have teams competing in Whitchurch and Market Drayton Leagues in both evening, and for seniors daytime, matches, and throughout the summer many enjoyable Club Competitions for all abilities.
The members represent a broad range of ages from teens to 80’s, and all skill levels from complete beginner to expert. Above all we are a friendly club, and really want to make new members feel welcome whatever their knowledge of the game. At the end of March we have a number of ‘Open Days’ at weekends so those who are interested can find out more and perhaps have a go! In early March the dates for these ‘Open Days’ are posted on the Calverhall and Ightfield Village Notice Boards.
